Shantang Street is located in Gusu District, Suzhou. You can take Metro Line 2 from Suzhou Railway Station to Shantang Street Station. There are only two stations, which are very close.

Shantang Street has a history of nearly 1200 years. In the second year of Tang Baoli's second year (825), Bai Juyi was transferred from Hangzhou to the governor of Suzhou. In order to facilitate the water and land transportation in Suzhou, he dug a Shantang River from Huqiu in the west to Changmen in the east, and built a road in the north of Shantang River called "Shantang Street". ", Shantang Street and Shantang River are about seven miles long, called "Qili Shantang".

The light was too strong at noon, not ideal, and there was not much time in the afternoon. In order to take a good set of photos, I rushed here by car in the morning.

However, the COVID-19 epidemic has not yet ended. Routine inspections are required for scenic spots with a relatively concentrated flow of people, and the temperature of the accompanying persons is measured. So it's no surprise that the flow of people is much less than usual.

Here is full of traditional Chinese elements, architecture, food, costumes, and those singing and dancing stage... As if time and space are out of place, it can drag you into the historical situation at once, making you feel emotional.

It is often said that there are a thousand Hamlet in the eyes of a thousand people; naturally, there are a thousand Shantang Streets in the eyes of a thousand people. I use the lens to record and express these scenes that people are accustomed to, but there is my understanding and mood in the lens.

Maybe they are too exaggerated.

In any case, this is a means of defamiliarizing art to awaken people's sleepy artistic perception.

This painting looks very chronological. The mottled wall seems to be telling the vicissitudes of time. However, the emergence of red lanterns is trying to break this balance: no matter what vicissitudes experienced, perhaps, living in the present is the best destination.
